Transfer artwork onto shaped parts
PR contains silicone pad-printing pads. A pad transfers an inked image to the workpiece; it is selected around the artwork, part geometry and printing setup. It is a separate pad-printing category within the nine-series catalogue and is not a grinding or polishing consumable.
Define geometry before choosing the pad
Provide artwork at actual scale, printed area, part drawings or photographs, curvature, recesses, surface material and the current machine setup. Pad shape, working dimensions, hardness and mounting should be confirmed for the application. A photograph alone cannot establish a suitable hardness or prove a transfer result.
Validate image transfer
Compare transfer coverage, distortion, position and repeatability on representative parts using the intended ink and process. Record the approved pad configuration and acceptance sample.
